Leather Luggage by Cymax Stores

Buying Guide: Leather Luggage

Looking for luggage that both durable and luxurious? Think leather!

Leather luggage gives off a lavish, rich look while remaining resilient at the same time. There are many different grades of leather available, so read through the following types to learn more about them and which one you’d prefer for your luggage:

Full-Grain

Full-grain leather is the highest quality leather you can come across. Why? It has been split directly from the hide with no sort of alterations. If you like the appearance of real leather, with its markings and texture, opt for full-grain leather pieces.

Top-Grain

Top-grain leather is the next step down from full-grain. With top-grain, a layer of leather has been shaved off the top, removing any sort of damage. The “true grain” has thus been removed, and an imitation grain is added instead. This is ideal if you don’t prefer the natural cracks and grooves in raw leather’s look.

Bonded

With bonded leather, small pieces of leather have been mixed with a bonding agent, making a new type of leather that’s inexpensive, yet durable. Look for pieces made with bonded leather if you want the look of leather, but a cheaper price.

Suede

Suede is a finish that is applied to leather’s surface. It makes the surface have a “brushed” texture, and is soft and supple. An entire luggage piece constructed of suede is not the best idea, because suede can be moisture damaged, but pieces featuring suede trim adds an expensive look.

Genuine

Made from the lower level of the hide, and then finished in a material that resembles top-grain leather, genuine leather is basically the less expensive version of top-grain leather. Perfect if you love the look of top-grain but it’s over your budget.

Futons on a Budget

Cheap Futons (but Stylish!)

One of the most popular items on the market right now is the newly improved futon. It used to be considered a clunky, poor-quality guest sleeping space, but now that technology has evolved, practical futons have been introduced to the modern world.

Unfortunately, a lot of these updated futons cost an arm and a leg, so where can you find an excellent quality futon for under $350.00? I’ve pulled up a few different examples from Morefutons.com:

Elite Product Skyline Full Black Metal Futon Frame
$147.95
One of the most practical futon choices – in quality and price! The frame has been treated with a scratch proof powder coat finish, and has been designed to remain durable, even after years of folding.

Hillsdale Geneva Black Full Metal Futon
$175.00
This futon is basically a step above the previous futon – they both feature the same durability stats, but the Hillsdale model has a more graceful contemporary style.

Elite Digit-Flex Sofa Futon - Safari
$175.99
This unique futon has six different folding options, so you can make it go from a sofa, to a lounge chair, to a bed, and more. Ideal for dorm rooms!

Serta Futons Madrid Futon Frame
$209.00
The sleek look of Serta’s futon arms gives this futon a stylish look. Choose between natural wood finish or espresso brown for your futon frame. It’s been designed to be lightweight, yet sturdy at the same time.

August Lotz Monticello Hardwood Futon Frame in English Oak Finish
$314.00
At the top of the budget is the August Lotz futon frame made of solid oak. It has a classic appearance that shows off the grain of the wood. A special feature is their use of dovetail construction – it evenly distributes body weight, reducing the chance of the frame wearing out.

Perfect for back to school, stylish futons at affordable prices!

The Prepac Sonoma Black King Platform Storage Bed is ideal for anyone who is desperate for more storage space. It features six pull-out drawers to store extra clothes, shoes, or anything that needs putting away. Plus, it has a minimal (yet stylish) appeal – it’ll match with almost any design style.

The Fashion Bed Group Kyoto Modern Platform Bed in Black Finish clearly channels the Japanese “less is more” mantra. It features a distinctive Japanese screen styled headboard, and is very low to the ground – another Japanese influence.

Homelegance’s Lennox Black Leather Platform Bed is a perfect blend of modern and contemporary style. It even boasts a bit of vintage charm with its tufted leather head and footboard. Black leather is definitely one of the most luxurios material choices for a bed, so why not treat yourself and update your bedroom with one?

Bedroom Furniture

Choosing Your Bedroom Furniture

One of the most important rooms in your home is your bedroom. You spend half your time in there sleeping, and it contains items that make up who you are – clothes, books, technology…the list goes on and on. Since it’s such a special room, the furniture you choose for your bedroom should not only be of the highest quality – it should represent your personal taste and style.

How do you choose the right bedroom furniture, though? Here are a few tips to help you out:

- Make sure you know the measurements of your bedroom. If you see a piece you like, it might be too big or too small for your space. Also check your door’s measurements – your bedroom furniture might not be able to make it through the frame!

- If you have space in your bedroom for more than a bed and dresser, consider other pieces you might like to add to your room. You might want to keep your desk in there for a relaxing home office space, or even put an exercise machine in there.

- If you’ve always wanted a TV in your bedroom, but have no floor space for a TV stand, there are wall-mounted plasma sets available to help you save some walking area.

- Décor goes a long way. Rugs, drapes, lights, and wall art are a great way to show off your personality and dress up your room to make it look less standard.

I hope these tips help you get the right Bedroom Furniture for your home.
